Week 10 of the UFL kicks off with a tilt between the playoff-bound Michigan Panthers (7-2) and Birmingham Stallions (8-1) at Protective Stadium on Saturday, and we've got you covered with all the highlights from the USFL title game preview.
It is the final week of the UFL season with the top teams in the USFL conference facing off one last time as the Birmingham Stallions host the Michigan Panthers. The two squads will face each other again next week for the USFL Conference Championship.
The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPN. Fans looking to watch can do so through FuboTV or DirecTV , both of which offer a free trial. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but does have other promotional offers available.
This will be a tune-up game for the USFL Conference championship in next week, as the Panthers and Stallions have already clinched the top two seeds, with the Stallions clinching home-field advantage for the big game thanks to an impressive start to the season.
The Panthers are not all that far behind the Stallions in the standings. Last week, Michigan trailed the Houston Roughnecks by 10 heading into the fourth quarter. However, thanks to two touchdowns created by Bryce Perkins, the Panthers stole a 26-22 win, giving the team five wins in a row.
For Birmingham, outside linebacker DeMarquis Gates will not play due to a foot injury. Head coach Skip Holtz also confirmed this week that defensive coordinator John Chavis returned home to deal with a health issue and has been replaced by defensive backs coach Corey Chamblin.
On the bright side, Stallions QB and UFL MVP favorite Adrian Martinez will suit up Saturday. Heading into Week 10, the Kansas State product leads the league in rushing (487 yards), ranks third in passing (1,587 yards) and is tied for second in touchdown passes (15). Martinez is the main reason Birmingham’s offense is humming heading into the postseason.
